Sainik School Chittorgarh (Rajasthan) was established on 7 Aug 1961. It is one of the first five Sainik Schools started by the Ministry of Defence, Goverment of India in the aegis of the Sainik School Society.
The first batch of class 11th students of Sainik School Chittorgarh (SSC) appeared for ISCE (Indian School Certificate Examination) in November-December 1961.

- Sainik Schools Society, which is the whole sole of admission in all sainik schools, reserves the right to change the pattern and syllabus of examination and admission criteria.
- Those candidates who come in the merit list prepared on the basis of Entrance Exam will be called for Medical Test.
- The minimum qualifying marks in AISSEE for General Category candidates as well as children of Defence Services Personnel and Ex-servicemen will be 25% in each subject with 40% in aggregate.
- Medium of Instruction: The medium of instruction at Sainik School Chittorgarh is English.
- School Academic Year: The Academic year starts from 1st April to 31st March.
